The 9th International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN2010) invites high-quality recent research results in the areas of optical devices, components, communications, transmission, sensing, network architectures, protocols, planning, design, management and operation. Optical communications networks are becoming increasingly important and optical components, technologies and systems are developing rapidly as the demand for high capacity and reliable links are required. The main goal of this conference is therefore to provide an opportunity to bring together academics, scientists, professionals, engineers and industrialists who work in the field of optical communications and networks and to foster the exchange of information, opinions, ideas and experiences among them in this fast-moving and exciting field.
Since its very initiation in Singapore in 2002, International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks (ICOCN) has been held annually in Asia-Pacific region. The other 7 conferences were held in Bangalore, India in 2003, in Hong Kong in 2004, in Bangkok, Thailand in 2005, in Chengdu, China in 2006, in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2007, in Singapore in 2008 and in Beijing, China in 2009, respectively. Right now, ICOCN is playing an important role in the development of optical communications and networks. We look forward to your participation to make this conference a success.
